Why an implant

Works like a tooth

A smiling older patient
and protects the jaw
One dentist, scan to crown
A temporary tooth while you heal
Feels and works like a tooth

The implant replaces the root, so you bite, chew and brush as you would with your own tooth, with nothing to take out at night.

Keeps the jawbone healthy

An implant keeps the bone around it working, so the jaw holds its shape where a gap would let it shrink.

Leaves the teeth beside it alone

Unlike a bridge, nothing is filed down on the healthy teeth either side.

Dr. Maya Alvarez, DDS

She plans, places and restores every Fairday implant, so you see one dentist from the scan to the crown.

I put off an implant for years because nobody would give me a straight price. Dr. Alvarez wrote it down at the first visit, and the bill matched it to the dollar.

Does getting an implant hurt?

The area is numbed for placement, and most patients say it feels easier than having a tooth out. Expect two or three days of soreness, eased by over-the-counter pain relief.

How long do dental implants last?

With good brushing and regular checkups an implant can last a lifetime, and the crown on top usually lasts 15 years or more before it needs replacing.

Does insurance cover implants?

Many PPO plans cover part of an implant or the crown on top. We check your plan before the consult and write your share on the plan.

What if I don't have enough bone?

The 3D scan shows it at the consult, and a bone graft from $650 builds the area up first. Most patients don't need one.

Can I pay over time?

Yes. 0% financing spreads the cost over 12 months, and the Fairday Plan takes 15% off implants for patients without insurance.

How long does the whole process take?

Most patients finish in three to six months, mostly waiting while the bone heals, with four or five short visits in all.
