Emergency questions

When it can't
wait

Not sure it's an emergency? Call, and a dental assistant tells you whether to come in today.

Call (303) 555-0148
Do I need to be a Fairday patient?

No. Anyone can book an emergency visit, and most emergency patients are new to us.

What counts as a dental emergency?

Pain that keeps you up, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, or swelling in your face or gums. If you're not sure, call and a dental assistant tells you.

Can I walk in?

Call first if you can, since a call before 10 AM holds a same-day time for you. Walk-ins are seen between booked patients, so the wait can be longer.

What if it happens at night or on a Sunday?

Leave a message or book online and we call you back when the offices open, at 7 AM on weekdays and 8 AM on Saturdays. For swelling that affects your breathing, or bleeding that won't stop, go to the emergency room.

Will my insurance cover it?

Most PPO plans cover an emergency exam and X-ray, and we bill your insurer so you pay only your share. Without insurance the visit is $95 in full.

What will the treatment cost?

You get a written price before any treatment starts, and the price list shows it ahead of time, such as a filling from $165 or a root canal from $850.
